Marion Becker

Marion Becker, age 78, of rural Kendallville, passed away at home on Monday, April 15, 2024. Marion was born in Lisbon, Indiana on July 25, 1945 to the late Everett Eugene Becker and Mary Elizabeth (Ross) Becker. He graduated from Avilla High School in 1963. Marion was a welder by trade. He owned and operated Heign Welding in Kendallville for 30 years. He married Kathryn Ann Kammerer on May 19, 1973 in Kendallville. Kathy preceded him in death on August 23, 2006.  Marion loved fishing and drinking beer. He enjoyed woodworking, campfires, the outdoors and time with his grandkids.

Survivors include:
Son, Andrew and Amanda Becker of Kendallville.
Daughter, Brittany and Roy Calderon of Laredo, Texas.
Four grandchildren: Athena Calderon, Cassian Calderon, Atticus Calderon, and Ethan Becker.
Son, Robert and Amy Becker of Kendallville.
Brother, Scott Becker of Kendallville.

Marion was preceded in death by his parents, Everett and Mary Becker; his wife, Kathy Becker; daughter, Anne Christine Becker; and brother, Tom Becker. 

Visitation will be held Thursday, April 18, 2024 from 3:00 - 6:00 PM at Hite Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held Friday, April 19, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Hite Funeral Home with Pastor Mike Albaugh officiating.
Burial will follow at Zion Lutheran Cemetery near Corunna.
