Carroll Lee (Boehme) Tackett, age 59, of Hudson, passed away April 12, 2024 at Betz Nursing Home in Auburn. Carroll was born in Columbia City, Indiana on October 31, 1964 to Charles Leroy Boehme, Sr. and Priscilla Ann (Carroll) Witt. She was a loving mother and homemaker. She loved spending time with her family, playing with her nieces and nephews and watching television.  

Survivors include:
Mother and stepfather, Annie and Robert Witt of Lady Lake, Florida.
Son, Tori Nathaniel Tackett of Hudson and his girlfriend, Jody Parrish.
Daughter, Ganetta Boehme of Albion and her boyfriend, Teddy Stanley. 
Like a daughter, Jessica Christian of Hudson.
Sister, Charlotte and Edgar Caudill of Albion.
Niece, Amber and Andrew Oberlin of Hudson.
Niece, Tara Boehme of Kendallville.
Stepsister, Lisa and Larry McAbee of Auburn.
Stepsister, Kristy and Al Rinehart of Broxton, Georgia.
Many cousins and many great nieces and nephews also survive. 

Carroll was preceded in death by her father, Charles Leroy Boehme, Sr.; her son, Ashley Earl Tackett; the father of her children, Gerald Dale "Jerry" Tackett; niece, Tabitha Boehme; sister, Christine Christian; and brother, Charles Leroy Boehme, Jr.

Visitation and funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 17, 2024 at Hite Funeral Home in Kendallville. Visitation will be from 3:00 - 6:00 PM followed by a funeral service at 6:00 PM. Pastor David Bolen will officiate the service. Burial will take place later at Christian Union Cemetery near Garrett.
